honesty = a virtue

yesterday, while i was waiting at the pharmacy, i witnessed an act of truth.  an elderly handicapped woman, who also happened to have strep throat and could barely speak, was informing the pharmacist that they underbilled her $4 for her last prescription.  she was trying her hardest to write them a check for that $4.  the pharmacist pretended (i think) to call headquarters, and thanked the woman for her honesty and told her it wasn’t necessary for her to pay them back.  there was no one else around (besides the pharmacist), so i felt it my duty to report this little act.
