i started my master cleanse aka the lemonade diet today. i have no idea how this will go, but for many many reasons, i feel the need to rid myself of toxins. if anyone feels the desire to try this along with me, do it – ha. here’s the plan:
for 10 days (minimum), i will consume the following beverage:
1 gallon per day minimum
-5 fresh-squeezed organic lemons
-1 1/4 cup organic grade b maple syrup
-1 tsp cayenne pepper
-10 cups filtered spring water
in addition, each morning, i will drink the following:
saltwater flush
-2 tsps uniodized sea salt
-1 quart lukewarm filtered spring water
the above mixtures are the ONLY thing i can consume, aside from water. this should be intense but (hopefully) very rewarding! wish me luck.
ps. i just tried this stuff…i am 2 glasses in, and i have to say it’s the absolute weirdest thing (in liquid form) that i’ve ever tasted. as far as fresh lemonade sweetened with maple syrup goes, it’s not all that bad. but the cayenne pepper might be the death of me – it sets my entire face and body completely on fire, all the way down to my toes. i’d skip the pepper altogether, but apparently it’s “essential” to the cleanse. i’m already getting used to the feeling, and i’m even finding it slightly enjoyable. hopefully by day 10, i’ll still feel that way.
